This piece "The Whip" by the elusive street artist Banksy is a piece that holds strong symbolism and gives the audience the chance to persevere the art for themselves. The picture showing a businessman whipping people with what looks to be a graph from the stock market can mean so much in many different ways for different people. Banksy is showing how America is run by the wealthy and that everyone else is working for them without even really knowing it. The whip in real life is invisible and most people don't know that they are even being affected by it because they are only worried about going to their job each day and providing for their family. The portrait is also showing how not only are older people affected by the system as a whole but how children are also apart of the forever ongoing system. The portrait also displays the effects of aging showing that no one is safe and that even in your wherever you are in life that the system of corporate America is in control. 

The political righteousness in this art speak volumes and is very hard to ignore when you become educated on the true meaning. Learning that America runs on a different set of codes than is preserved to the world through the media then people would understand that the world and not only America is truly run by money. Everyone is working and going about their daily lives while furthering the system without even realizing it. Thy system is way bigger than one person and has no one person that anyone could point out because everyone benefits from the system in their own particular way without knowing.
