    Joseph Pierce the writer of "The Capital Rioter Dressed Up as a Native American Is Part of a Long Cultural History of “Playing Indian”. We Ignore It at Our Peril"  Is an associate professor at Stony Brook University. Pierce likes to write about past events and the way that they affected people of that time. In the article mentioned above, pierce wrote about the storming of the capital building that took place on January 6th. Based on the information that was presented this article was written in an informative manner, there is a lot of information throughout the article although Pierce does state his opinion at times throughout the article. The man showed in the picture above Jake Angeli is dressed in fully Native American battle gear as he stood inside the capital on the day of the storming of the capital. Based on Angeli's political views and his beliefs that former president Donald Trump was wrongly represented by the United States judicial system is the reasoning behind all of this. Based on the fact that millions of Americans believed that President Trump was fraudulently defeated in the election a certain couple hundred decided to storm the capital building as a protest.  The amount of symbolism in this picture shows a lot because of the fact that Native Americans would wear the gear in battle. 

    Based on the fact that the sources were their life in action and got to experience the events in current time there is no better source. This article is very useful and shows the exact political climate in America at this place and time. Based on the fact that the division is so large between political parties right now it only makes sense as to why some people believe and resent each other's political views so much.
